Competent Advice, Careful Planning

Our holistic range of services begins with careful planning of each individual project. Depending on the task, customers can rely on project-specific planning teams, who realize customer requests on the basis of their well-founded expertise and long-term experience. Our primary objective is to work out an optimal solution taking into account customer requirements and economic realization as well as technical viability from the beginning, in order to lay the foundations of a successful project.

Development and Design

High-Tech CAD Design

When it comes to development and design customers can profit from the know-how of DUROtherm’s engineers, too: DUROtherm offers all phases of product development from the concept and first drawings, over complex connected constructions comprising several modules, to the model “to lay Hands on”. Design details are optimized in close dialogue with our customers with regard to practicability and material characteristics. Consequently, optimal functionality combined with innovative design is obtained. Of course, we can adopt pre-existing data from customers and process it. Data can be transferred both via secure Odette interface and online or via storage media.

Prototyping

Prototyping: Fast and Customizable

One of the many advantages of thermoforming is the very fast design cycle of the prototyping process. Based on CAD data, high-grade sample or series tools take shape in no time. This provides the basis for an optimal production. Last corrections and changes to customer requirements can be realized cost-effectively within a short period of time. Due to many decades of experience in thermoforming of plastics, choice of material and the geometrics of the thermoforming parts are already taken into account in the making of the moulds, which ensures high functionality of the final products.

DUROtherm carries out several load tests and endurance tests at customer request and is consequently able to make exact predictions about the suitability for the intended purpose.

Series Production

Series Production in Excellent Quality

In series production, the optimal processing technology is employed depending on the task. This enables DUROtherm to even meet requirements of most difficult projects and also to realize unusual customer requests. Our ultra-modern machinery combined with 3-shift production makes it possible for us to produce large orders within shortest periods of time in constant high series quality and to even bridge bottlenecks optimally.

DUROtherm has one of the biggest thermoforming machines for contract production, so we can produce very big form sizes up to 4200 x 2500 mm.

Precise Milling at High Velocity

In recent years customer wishes have evolved: thermoformed parts must be finished to attain the highest possible perfection. In order to reach this goal with a reasonable expenditure of time and staff, DUROtherm engineers have developed a completely new kind of milling line, which is unrivaled in the whole of our industry. This milling line enables us to obtain excellent results within the shortest possible time, without burdening customers with higher costs. Due to rising demand and the success of this first milling line DUROtherm has already built a new line perfected even further.

All Ready Assembled

The series production of moulded parts and even assembly of complete components keeps on gaining importance. For this reason, DUROtherm has extended its assembly department in recent years and the number of employees in this section has more than tripled, too. This assembly service is of great utility for our customers: thus they needn’t carry out these works on the parts afterwards, but can directly integrate “all ready” mounted parts into their production process.

The assembly department has numerous desks, where our well-trained employees weld parts with maximum care using ultrasonic welding, bond them with high tech glue, screw them or rivet them. A special feature is the robot-supported assembly process, where a semi-automatically driven lightweight robot precisely bonds assembly parts at high cycle rates.

Logistics

Well Thought-Out Logistics Processes

Thanks to our sophisticated logistics organization we are even able to have large quantities of goods ready for delivery on demand by customers in a short period of time and punctually. The processing of orders can be fully automated on request. In order to ensure uniform marking and good traceability, all deliveries shall be made according to VDA guidelines. Delivery notes can be transferred online to customers, thus they are precisely informed about amount, contents and time of arrival already before the arrival of the goods and can control further processing optimally. We can ship goods in eco-friendly re-usable and collapsible container systems, which can be stored in minimum space.
